Manitoulin Island, June 8, 2013:
We drove from "The Soo" directly to
Manitoulin Island. Manitoulin is the larges fresh water lake island in the world. The Island is so large that it took us 45 minutes just to drive to
Bridal Veil Falls once we got on the island.
The swing bridge is a one lane bridge and is the only way to drive onto the island - it is the North entry. Arrive from the South, travelers need to take
Tobermory - which is about a two hour drive from Collingwood, where we used to have our condo! We also stopped in at the art gallery of
Ojibwa artist,
Daphne Odjig.
